Good Friday around the world !

Christians around the world celebrate Good Friday with processions and crucifixions...

Christians around the world celebrated Good Friday, with some people going to extreme lengths to re-enact Jesus's crucifixion as realistically as possible. Across the Catholic Philippines many cross-carrying processions took place. Above, Menandro Penafiel played the part of Jesus in Boac, Marinduque island, central Philippines

The annual ritual draws thousands of spectators to see penitents flagellate themselves and a series of crucifixions culminating in a recreation of Christ's death

The Church strongly disapproves of the practice, which took hold in northern Pampanga province about 60 years ago as a form of religious vow for Filipinos seeking forgiveness, to have illnesses cured even get wishes granted

Best Photographs of Jumpology

umpology, founded by Philippe Halsman (1906-1979), is a form of photography taken when the person is jumping. Halsman liked to refer to it as, saying, “when you ask a person to jump, his attention is mostly directed towards the act of jumping and the mask falls so that the real person appears”. Interesting description isn’t it? I enjoy seeing these photographs due to the happy expressions on the faces. Hope you will enjoy the selections below....
