A true example of it is balancing rocks, which is the natural geological occurring of rock formation in such a way that a huge rock boulder is connected or resting upon another rock. 1. Balanced Rock, Arches National Park, Utah

 

Perhaps one of the most famous balancing rocks worldwide is of the Arches National Park in Grand County, Utah, South America. The total estimated height of the balanced rock is 128ft, whereas the actual famous balancing rock rises 55ft above the base rock and weighs as heavy as a total of almost 27 whales.

2. Balanced Rock, Big Bend National Park, Texas

 

Another famous balancing rock is in the Big Bend National Park, Grape Vine Hills, Texas, America. These rocks are also known as the Window Rocks since a large boulder is placed upon two stone-like pillars, giving a two-way open window view. The Grapevine Hill trail that leads to this balanced rock is almost a 2.2-mile hike, which includes many other small balanced rocks on the way.

3. Devils Marbles Conservation Reserve, Australia

One of the most famous balancing rocks in Australia is the Devils Marbles, Northern Territory. These huge red round boulders are miraculously balanced on top of each other, and their sizes may vary from 50cm to 6 meters.

4. Krishna’s Butterball, Tamil Nadu, India

Another famous rock of the world, Krishna’s Butterball, is in Mahabalipuram, India. It is likely a boulder perched on a smooth slope as a glacial erratic. The boulder itself is around 250 tons heavy.

5. Kjeragbolten, Norway

Kjeragbolten is a famous balancing rock formation, a five cubic meter massive boulder wedged 3500ft above sea level between a mountain crevasse of Kjerag mountain Lysefjordan, southern Norway.

6. Golden Rock, Myanmar, Burma

The Golden Rock adds to the list of the most famous balancing rocks of the world because of the gravity-defying look that it gives, it seems as if the perched rock might roll off the hill, but it miraculously stays still. It is located on top of a cliff 3,615 feet above sea level in Yangon, Burma.

7. Mexican Hat Rock, Utah

Due to its straw-hat-shaped 60ft wide and 12ft thick form, these balanced rocks are known as the Mexican Hat Rock, located in San Juan County, Utah.

8. Balancing Rock, Digby, Nova Scotia

Another gravity-defying famous balanced rock is in St. Mary’s Bay, Long Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. The tall basalt rock is approximately 9 meters high and is balanced right above the water.
